Both sides of road are enlightened at once when it is evening. The lamp posts do this job with white, yellow, bluish and green.

But how it will be if trees give these lights instead of lamp posts! Are you surprised? A research report published in June in science-journal ‘Current Biology’ has given such amazing news. This has got viral. The leading two researchers Purtov from Institute of Biophysics of Siberia and Elea Eampoloski from Institute of Bio-Organic Chemistry’ of Masco  has shown that not only firefly, mushroom or some micro organs but also some other especial species of bacteria have the surprising capacity of giving light at night.

There is notion of this strange behavior in Greek Philosopher Aristotle and Roman Scholar Senior Plini’s writings of 382 years ago. They saw the emitting light from the root the wet woods at deep night. Later the strange light was named ‘Fox-Fire’. Here the word ‘Fox’ came from the word ‘phoes’ of ancient Chinese language whose meaning is ‘meaningless’.

About one year ago, the biologist Stephen Stefani from Saopaulo University of Brazil showed that the luster of light emitted from the mushroom t the feet of trees in deep forest attracts the insects to run after. And being attracted by the sorcerer light the insects leave their pollen grains. Stefani also showed that this is not possible at all to make them leave pollen grains even using LED light artificially. This happens only at night after setting the sun. It also happens well in deep darkness instead of full moon. This study of Stefani made a concept of scientists useless. That was- the light grows at the time of metabolism after photosynthesis at daytime.

His study of Eampoloski-Purtov focuses on that point. They showed that there is a kind f protein named Lusiferin in mushroom ant fungus. This protein is available in that fungus that can give light. But that cannot give light; the availability of the protein is 100% more. This Lusiferin is such a protein that reacts against Oxygen with the help of an enzyme named Lusuferej. And only then bluish-green light come out.

In a question via email Eampoloski said from Masco, “Not only Luciferin fungus also needs an enzyme to make light. That name is Luciferej. And this helps Luciferin to be burned on air. And when Luciferin can be burned on air, the fungus can make light. For example, a car runs in such way .Where both an engine (Luciferase) and fuel (Luciferin) are needed to run. In absence of engine the power from fuel burning cannot run a car. So though there is huge Luciferin, every species of fungus cannot make light. In that case, collecting the Luciferin from their body, we can increase the other fungus’ power of making light. In this way we can make lampposts in both sides of roads with these funguses instead of electric lampposts in near future. It will save our electricity. Not only this but also the loss from the destruction of electric pole will not happen. And this will also show a way of coming out from the problem of polluting air by using thermal power to produce electricity. George Church the pronounced genetics expert from Harvard University already has started to prepare or circulate their dream ‘Glowing Plant Project’ in Britain.
